With the innovation of reinforced flexibility and stability, the POWERSPINE in the internal chassis allows for bend in one direction but not the other, minimizing energy loss during a shot through redirection of the “kicking flex” in the forefoot area. The additional energy is directly transferred into the ball—adidas reports a 7% power increase over a barefoot strike. Metatarsal injuries, increasingly a plague to modern footballers, are reduced by the substantial reinforcement on the underside of the foot.
